Cletus is real happy. He is thinking about becoming a nationally published columnist after reading this. See, he had that idea about John Edwards being a TV psychic a couple of days ago and now it appears in NRO.

Dang, he's good.

A nice warm (for January) weekend with a good bit of rain and Cletus still did not get his RFS episode finished. His excuse is that he was sick and just didn't feel up to it. Bubba says he thinks Cletus spent the weekend watching all the political shows since his political idol, John Edwards, has started to rise in the polls. Cletus says that it isn't true. He thought the politician was the guy who talked to the dead and that was a new approach to politics since he could rightly argue that the dead were following his campaign and had a right to vote. Bubba said he wondered if the dead would need to show an ID when they showed up to vote. Elroy said they never had before.

Cletus is right disappointed about the development. He says that he finds a psychic much more attractive than a trial lawyer. Cletus says he heard a new lawyer joke.

A guy was ranting and raving about lawyers being jerks when a bystander interrupted and said he found the characterization offensive.

"Are you a lawyer?"

"No, I'm a jerk."
