Compleat Redneck

Commentary from the boondocks. If it makes any sense, it is just by chance.

Cletus is trying to remember some more Church stories. I have primed him with pecan pie so maybe he'll come with something soon.

Elroy says he has been enjoying global warming but that he thinks it is going to end next week. Elroy was born on February 2 so we figure he is the best judge of such things. Since we haven't had any bad weather this year, we don't know whether he should look for his shadow or not on Thursday.

Cletus says he thinks he'll just watch "Groundhog Day" a few dozen times since it always makes him feel better when things turn out good in the end.

Cletus says we have been remiss (I think he got a new dictionary for Christmas) in not updating you on Mizz Bubba. She has been back in the hospital for some surgery but should be out today. The chemo affected her blood and now she will have to take blood thinners for the rest of her life. She had to come off the thinners for a few days before the surgery (with a risk of stroke) and spent a few extra days in the hospital as they got her blood stabilized. Bubba just called to say she had been released and is on her way home. Elroy suggested that it would be a good idea to tie Cletus down so she can get some rest. He likes to think he is helping out by hanging around over there when what he is really doing is eating them out of house and home.

Cletus says that several folks from their Church have brought food and he is just helping to ensure that it doesn't spoil.

Mizz Bubba should be finished with her treatments now. We expect her to be back to keeping him straight right soon.
