Commentary from the boondocks. If it makes any sense, it is just by chance. firstname.lastname@example.org

Cletus wanted me to tell you that we would not be blogging for the rest of the week because the old BBQ Emporium computer is broken. Bubba asked if that was true, then how was I doing this post. I told him I had one of those new fangled Blueberries or Peaches or something. Elroy said he thought I was just too lazy to type out all the erudite stuff that goes on here. Cletus said the fact that Elroy used the words "erudite" and "stuff" back to back is pretty good evidence that we need a rest.
Anyway, next week.

Mizz Junebugg pointed out that we may need to comment on other people's Blogs if we want comments here. Bubba says we need to be real careful about commenting since people reading intelligent Blogs may not quite grasp our particular intellectual bent.
Cletus says he went over to Mizz Junebug's Blog to make a comment and she had gone and posted something serious and he just didn't feel it was right to go into her neighborhood if he didn't have something worthwhile to say. Bubba said it has never stopped him from coming in here.
Anyway, we concede that Mizz Junebugg is right in her assessment.

Cletus says he thinks we need to start keeping up with the political races in Alabama. He says the Huntsville Times has asked candidates to come by and explain their positions so the Times can decide who to endorse. Cletus says he thinks this humble blog could do the same. Bubba pointed out that since we have a readership of two, may three people and Nate and Jim don't live in Alabama, there doesn't seem to be much incentive for a politician to want our endorsement.
Elroy said that the politicians he had personally known would talk to any gathering of people they could find including small children. In fact, he remembers one of us winning a pencil for knowing what a "circuit solicitor" was way back in the 1950s. Cletus says I need to clarify that last sentence since he doesn't think the definition has changed. It was in the 1950s that one of us knew the answer. I'm not sure that we remember what it was though.
Our one long term reader will have no doubt noticed that this post has come close to achieving our famous level of incomprehensibility. For any casual passersby, we should explain that good writing is not the purpose of this blog. What the purpose is, if there ever was a purpose, no one remembers.
Cletus says he thinks it is Terry Oglesby's fault and the rest agreed that was a reasonable answer so if you have any complaints about the electrons we are wasting, write him.
Cletus says he really enjoyed blogging back when we got as many as six comments on a post. Elroy said as he remembers it, the only time we ever got six comments was when we messed up and replied to one five times.
Bubba said he has been reading opinions that "group" blogs are the wave of the future. Just our luck to be too soon with a good idea. Of course, I am not sure that the "intellectuals" are talking about a blog about a group.
